Well I picked the Bears to win 24-10. I was wrong. How do you give up 400+ passing yards to Brian *&^%$ing Griese. I mean come on...the guy could barely doing anything for the Bears last year and now goes out and torches the defense. Only Biff (Back to the Future reference) could have seen this one coming.

Well looks like Devin hester has come up limp. The impact on the special teams should be lessened if Manning can keep up his return form that he had in the preseason. On the offensive end, just another hole in the receiving corps. It does not look like he will be 100% for this weeks game against the Bucs. Hopefully the other receivers and Manning can pick up the slack.

I was on the Bears site the other day and I saw the link to the Bears selling shirts to help raise money to fight breast cancer. I am thinking sweet another way to help the cause (my grandmother had breast cancer).  As I am fumbling through my wallet to get out my card to order one, to my shock and major disappointment they have a disclaimer. In order for the shirts to be shipped they have to be in orders of 10 or more. I would love to be able to afford $150 to help the cause but I can't. I do not understand why they are leaving people out by making the group order rule. I would gladly pay the shipping costs for a T-shirt from Chicago to Indy. It can't be that much work to put a shirt in a envelope and send it out with the mail. Come on Bears office people, its about raising money for the cause. Let fans from outside Chicago order the shirts.

Going into week 3 we have a riveting matchup between the Bears and the Bucs (snicker). Hey they are my team but you have to admit they do not make for great TV. In this post I will give a breakdown postion by position, keys to the Bears winning and my guess at the final score.

Ok here we go...

QB-Advantage Bucs. I would take Griese over Orton only due to the Bucs have more weapons

RB-Advantage Bucs. Graham is having a good year but so is Forte. I give the Bucs the advantage based on depth at the position

WR-Advantage Bucs. Even though the Bucs receivers are geeting up there in age I still think they are a more talented bunch.

TE-Advantage Bears. Olsen and Clark make a good duo, if they can hold on to the ball

Offensive Line-Advantage Bucs. I gave the Bucs the nod on this one less because of the Bucs line being better but more because the Bears line is banged up. What's up with bring back Fred Miller?

According the the Bears website (www.chicagobears.com) the Bears have lost a safety for the season. When I first read the headline I was thinking #%&*&^# there goes Mike Brown again but no this time its Brandon McGowan. This should be minimal impact on the game on Sunday. See my next post for a complete game breakdown

Hello to all in the Bear's bloggosphere!

I am currently working on my profile so it should be done tonightish.

Well so far this season I am pretty mellow. It was a great win against Indy (Great cause I live in Indy and got to see all my neighbors and co-workers act like 5 year olds).

But so far I am overall unimpressed. Kyle Orton is who he is. I watched him at Purdue and beat up on my beloved Hoosiers. He is doing what we all expected him to do, manage the game and no turnovers. Matt Forte has been a bit of a surprise but hopefully the O-line holds up and he can keep in the 95+ yards a game. The defense has played like expected. The receiving corps has been sub par but there was little expectations on them anyway.

I will be adding more this evening. I welcome your comments but basically just wanted to get my first post in.
