Going into week 3 we have a riveting matchup between the Bears and the Bucs (snicker). Hey they are my team but you have to admit they do not make for great TV. In this post I will give a breakdown postion by position, keys to the Bears winning and my guess at the final score.
Ok here we go...
QB-Advantage Bucs. I would take Griese over Orton only due to the Bucs have more weapons
RB-Advantage Bucs. Graham is having a good year but so is Forte. I give the Bucs the advantage based on depth at the position
WR-Advantage Bucs. Even though the Bucs receivers are geeting up there in age I still think they are a more talented bunch.
TE-Advantage Bears. Olsen and Clark make a good duo, if they can hold on to the ball
Offensive Line-Advantage Bucs. I gave the Bucs the nod on this one less because of the Bucs line being better but more because the Bears line is banged up. What's up with bring back Fred Miller?
Defensive Line-Advantage Bears. The ends of the Bucs are getting old and they cannot match up with Tommie Harris
Linebackers-Advantage Bears. Can you say Urlacher and Briggs? Enough said
DB's-Advantage Bears. Top to bottom I think the Bears have the slight advantage in the secondary
Special Teams-Advantage Bears. In the return game much better than the Bucs.
The keys to the Bears Victory
Its simple...turnovers. Force the Bucs to throw the ball and get interceptions. This will lead to better feild position and better chances at points.
Hold on to the ball...stop dropping passes when your open. This kills the offense and leaves you in situations of 2nd and 3rd in long. Not the position the Bears want to be in on a regular basis.
Stop the Bucs from running wild...Keep them under 150 yards on the ground. Between their two backs they can rack up some big time yardage very quickly.
My prediction (a.k.a wild guess)
Bears defense dominates the day and does not give Griese the warm and fuzzy welcome.
Bears win 24-10
