I was in attendance at the Wednesday night cubs victory, what a finish! Carlos Zambrano wasn't his best, but he stayed strong and kept the cubs in position to win. Lou's confidence in Zambrano is very nice, but I made a comment to a fan next to me on how this reminded me of Dusty Baker. Zambrano is a horse, but if our horse develops arm problems the cubs are doomed. I hope Lou will heed to just a little with Zambrano his next few starts. Mark DeRosa continues to be the most frustrating cub to me, this guy looks like a hitter in that batters box, but flails wildly at so many pitches away and outside. I'm still not over my Blackhawks missing out either during that incredible end to the season. The Detroit Red Wings look like a great team again after looking pretty mediocre and beatable going into the playoffs. This team sure changed when Chris Osgood came in replacing Hasek. I finally got access to VS and now the playoffs will be on NBC. Well finally! This tv coverage for the NHL is pathetic, please get hockey back on channels people watch. Sadly, it looks the finals are already over and Pittsburgh didn't even score yet.

Not winning on the road has to change sooner then later, but the cubs continue their winning ways at Wrigley Field so far in 2008. Ryan Dempster has looked like a new man this season, other then a few innings where he's completely lost his control. Derrek Lee looks like he could still use a day off, but he came through with a big home run yesterday afternoon. Tonight, the series continues with Sean Gallager on the mound who has looked impressive in a starting capacity, again besides a few rough spots. Gallagher could be around for awhile, especially if Hill and Marshall aren't healthy and producing back in Iowa.
