A Word on Jay Cutler

Read that Joe Theismann thinks Jay Cutler got a raw deal after the NFC Championship game when he left due to a sore knee.  He tried playing on it, but went back to sidelines.  What if, Cutler tried to play, was hit, and really messed up his knee requiring major surgery?  Is he so dumb?  No.  He erred on the side of prudence and he knows his body.

I believe Cutler got some off the wall comments by some fans and NFL players.  "Hey, you'd have to carry me off the field."  Yeah, in a stretcher.  See how that feels.  Not so good.  Cutler will be back.  The issue is what players does he have to throw the ball to?  Devin Hester is the number one receiver.  Johnny Knox is talented but you need a no doubt about it, star receiver, like a Chad Ochocinco, without the headaches.  The Bears let Bernard Berrian go to the Vikings.  Get him back.

That guy can score TD's.  Every good receiver they get, they eventually let go.  Why?  Their assessment of talent has been questionable, and needs to improve.  Ok, you got a good QB.  Now, get some guy who can run patterns, take a hit, and catch the ball.  Apparently, that player is not that easy to find.
