I am surprised as the next long-time Chicago Bears fan. The fans who froze at Wrigley Field and sipped thermos filled with something more than hot cocoa. By golly, the Bears pulled one out at a time when I thought they would go in the tank. They made plays when they had to make plays. The Bears had more gas and put Michael Vick off his game, and throttled down an explosive attack. Jay Cutler, when he has time, looks like an All-Pro. He may never be, but this guy plays to win. You can sit on his face and hear it in his voice.
The Bears came up big tonight when they had to. It was a good win, a sound win. A game that shows the league this team should be taken a little more seriously. Credit goes to an improved offensive line which opened holes for Matt Forte and gave Cutler time to find his buddy Earl Bennett. The two starred at Vanderbilt. They know each other and it shows.
The Bears made more plays than the Eagles did which was a surprise. But great to see. An impressive win tonight.
