More thoughts on the Bears

I watched the game on a silent TV in a sports Bar in NYC. where everyone was glued to the NY Giants-SF 49'ers game.  I saw the Bears fans go crazy at Soldier Field and I cheered along with Wright and Tillman intercepted those passes for TD's.  The second one at first I thought was a replay of the Wright's score.  But I quickly realized it was live and it was great to see Tillman run to the end zone.  Missed Hester's TD.  Saw the replay and felt awe.  It was like watching Gayle Sayers all over again.  He was the greatest runner I ever saw in person.  Totally electrifying.  No disrepect to Walter Payton at all.  He's 1B.  He was fantastic too, but had a different style.

The Bears defense reminded me a bit of the '85 Bears when they won the Super Bowl.  Keep putting pressure on the QB.  It was great to see Julius Peppers go after people.  This season is a learning lesson.  A one of surprises.  The Colts lose Peyton Manning for the year and go winless after 9 games.  The 49'ers look the like the 49'ers again when they were really good.  Baltimore is a tough defensive team.  Like the Steelers.  The Bears are getting there.
