I woke up Tuesday morning and the Bears are still 3-0. The Bears played well enough to beat a good team. Most likely the Packers will regroup and find themselves in the playoff hunt before long. I thilnk Steve Young of ESPN said it wisely when he thought the Bears "were a year behind the Packers." It doesn't mean the Bears are not good, just the Packers are really good and they had a bad night.
Let's hope for Lovie's sake the Bears play well and surprise a lot of people. They will have a good test on Sunday night when they visit the New York Giants in a must win game for them. NY is 1-2 and a loss would be damaging. The Bears have to play hungry. You can beat this team if you play well. If Chicago make mistakes, just a quarter of those that Green Bay made, the Bears will lose. The Giants capitallize on other's mistakes. Eli Manning can be picked off if the defense plays smart, tough and the line forces him to throw off-balance. He will have quick drops to counter-act the Bears rush.
Just kick the ball to Devin Hester. He'll score. Let's see the Giants play keep-away. They'll kick it out of bounds, anywhere, just not to Hester. This will be a good indicator of Jay Cutler's leadership. Can he lead his offense on the road in front of a hostile crowd? Says, here it will be a close game.
