Bears 4th Quarter TD beats Lions, 24-20.

The Chicago Bears won the 5th straight game in a see-saw contest over the Detroit Lions, 24-20.  Bears QB Jay Cutler was 21-26 with over 200 yards and a 4th quarter TD pass to star for the Bears.  The Bears had just enough to get by a stubborn Lions team that started Drew Stanton, the third string QB.  Chicago has a 9-3 record and holds a game lead over the Green Bay Packers in the NFC North Division.

Devin Hester almost broke a return for a TD today but was stopped by the Lions's kicker.  Hester looks like a threat to score once he gets the ball.

The Bears have 4 tough games left on the schedule, including a meeting with New England next Sunday at home.  The Bears will finish the year with a game in Green Bay that could determine the Bears' playoff chances.

At least Cutler is not throwing interceptions, making it harder for his team.  The Bears are an improved team from last season, and have a decent shot at appearing in a post-season game.  But four weeks is a long time in the NFL, and playoff spots won't be determined for weeks.
