Bears Top Vikes 40-14, Win Division

Sometimes, The Chicago Bears can do something well. They have solid defense, and have a special punt returner in Devin Hester, who scored again on a 65 yard burst to break the NFL record.  Jay Cutler threw for 3 scores and the Bears looked like Monsters of the Midway again.  Chicago goes to 10-4 a 40-14 victory over their NFC North rivals, the Vikings.

You have to give them credit.  They finally took some suspense out of the last two games, and wrapped up a playoff spot.  They don't have to play nervously in their final two games to see if they get in the post-season.  They did it tonight with the victory.

Cutler is an enigma.  He a cool cucumber or a hot tamale.  When he's good he's great.  When he throws mis-read interceptions, he's not so good.  Maybe, under Mike Martz's direction, he is getting better.  But the Bears had a running game, and Matt Forte made nice good cuts to break free for first-downs.  He moved the chains tonight and the Bears needed a game like that.  The Bears had it working on prime-time TV, and for once, they weren't embarrasing.  In fact, they looked pretty good.  Go Bears!
