It's sad that NFL football fans, and Chicago Bears fans are launching criticism toward QB Jay Cutler. He looked indifferent standing around on the sidelines some people intimated. Why wasn't he designing plays with Mike Martz on the sidelines? He can't play, then morph into a coach.
Some people handle a difficult situation a certain way. He handles being a Type 1 Diabetic pretty well. This is a football game, it is not the end of the world. Jay Cutler has a knee injury. If he continued to play on it, and really got hurt, then people would say, "The guy was hurt, he should have taken himself out of the game." Being a NFL football player is testosterone induced anyway. It is one of the most macho of sports, in this MTV "Battle of the Reality Shows" world we live in. But that says something about us, as to how bent out of shape we could get over a professional football player getting injured in a title game.
It is a drag that Cutler got hurt. And, being a die-hard Bears fan, it's a bummer that Urlacher & company couldn't pull it out. But, Gosh, they came close and gave a pretty good fight. The Bears made a game of what looked like a meltdown. Why aren't people talking about that? I'd love to see the Bears back next year with a healthy Cutler and some experience under his belt!
