Blackhawks On the Outside Looking In

What's going on with the Chicago Blackhawks?  The 'Hawks are in 10th place in the Western Conference standings.  The top 8 teams make the playoffs.  Looks like it will be a tough go just to make the playoffs, not getting a top seed.

Getting a lower seed greatly decreases your chances of advancng far --so it looks tough for the Blackhawks.  You know, they almost have a new team.  Yes, they have Kane, Toews, Hossa, and Sharp.  And, Keith on defense. But they really miss Byfuglien who played great in last season's playoff run.  And, to not re-sign Niemi is biting them right now.

They're going with Corey Crawford, who is very good. But he is a rookie.  The Hawks took a hit in goaltending with the salary cap issues.   Hopefully, the Hawks can put some wins together and make this spring meaningful.  And, the Hawks' top line needs to start performing
