It's one thing to beat the Jazz in Chicago. It's another to defeat them in Utah. The Chicago Bulls did just taht with a 91-86 win in Utah Wednesday night. Winning there has been difficult in the history of the Bulls franchise. Of course, when MJ and Scottie led the Bulls, the team capped off a memorable Finals win when Jordan sink the basket as time expired in game 6. MJ can do that.
This season's Bulls version is led by Drrrick Rose, a briliant shooting guard, who is young and has great skills and passion.
The game marked the return of Carlos Boozer, Kyle Korver, and Ronnie Brewer who played with Utah last season. Boozer was a star for Utah, and received large media interest as Chicago sought the end a two game losing streak. The Bulls did it on the strength of made free-throws and clutch 3 point shooting. Chicago made 20-26 Free-throw attempts and that helped the Bulls eke out a tight game. Chicago is nearly 20 games over .500 but this win means that Chicago is a good team. And with the return of Noah, the injured center, the Bulls can be a very good team. You will have 4 really good players in the starting lineup. And, a stronger bench. Right now, Kurt Thomas is getting a lot of minutes at center. But he will go back to the bench wihen Noah returns. Luol Deng, forward, is having perhaps his best season. Boozer has been a very solid player who can put up double-doubles on any given night. And, Derrick Rose, is one of the top guards in the league and his name has been mentioned as a MVP candidate. This team is going to win some games. But the real battle begins in the playoffs. At least the Bulls will make them.
