Boy, the Chicago Bears sure surprised me last Sunday. In defeating the Cowboys 27-20, on Sunday, the Bears served notice that they may be a team to take seriously after all. The Bears are 2-0 for the first time since they went to the Super Bowl vs. Indinanapolis. The Bears line played well and gave QB Jay Cutler enough time for him to make terrific passes to receivers who gobbled them in for over 275 yards and 3 touchdowns. Dveni Hester caught a pass in the corner of the end zone, in an all-pro type grab for a touchdown. Matt Forte and Greg Olsen also scored.

All sports can be associated with parks and fields of play. But there is one field that occupied two teams that I love. The Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. Before the Bears became known as the Monsters of the Midway, they were known as the Decatur Staleys. It was hard to take serously a team named after a business man, so after hiring George Halas, the team was moved to Chicago and became the Chicago Staleys. With no time to spare, George convinced the owner of Cubs Park to allow the team to play football on their field.
