Jim Boylan

26 January 2008

Thabo has actually played well and gives us a better chance at winning than Duhon ever did. If Jim Boylan doesn't see that, then there is something wrong. He put up a double double last night. And that isn't his first since being put into a starting role.

hey looked last night and against Detroit recently, they could put together some good wins.

Jim Boylan sat Ben Wallace for most of the fourth quarter while Noah was out on the floor playing well. Big Ben had to watch a youngster do what he is paid a lot of money to do and can't. He rebounded well and set the pace for the Bulls a little. One concern I have though is that Adrian Griffin got a lot of playing time last night. In half the amount of time, Thomas got just as many points and more rebounds. Plus, Thomas can be an igniter. He has big play potential and he seems to have more energy. I wish I could have seen more of Noah, Sefalosha and Thomas on the floor together.

By sticking with Thabo, Jim Boylan kept in a young guy who has been playing well in his new role.

The Pistons just did seem to be able to find a groove. They had more turnovers, shot poorly from the free throw line and shot poorly from 3-point range. But the nice thing was the Bulls actually capitalized on that. They scored off of turnovers. They controlled the pace of the game as well. And they rebounded. It was like everything that everyone has stated they needed to do, they did and did pretty well.

The team started to look a lot better under Jim Boylan, but the last two games have actually seemed similar to before or even worse in some instances. Its been a heartbreaking season for the fa

Aaron Gray and Joakim Noah are starting to see some more playing time under Jim Boylan. Gray seems to spell Ben Wallace now and Noah is out there at random points with both. The nice thing is that both are starting to contribute. Gray had some tough baskets underneath and is looking to score when the opportunity presents itself. That is a much needed change of pace in the center position given Wallaces penchant for standing there looking stupid when a shot is right in front of his face.

h time in five games the Bulls have put together a solid 100+ point performance under interim coach Jim Boylan. And there was also another double digit point performance from new bench performer Ben Gordon. It is starting to become an expected performance from the newly reinvigorated Gordon.

Jim Boylan is now 3-1 with the Bulls as the interim coach. The Bulls have played competitively for all 4 games and only lost the one game in overtime. While they still aren't an elite team, they are finally playing like a team.

31 December 2007

Under new interim coach Jim Boylan, the Chicago Bulls are 2-0. Thats a pretty impressive start for any new coach, especially with a team that has been as bad as the Bulls have been. After the Scott Skiles firing, many people weren't sure as to what direction the Bulls ere actually headed. There has been a lot of speculation as to why this happened when it did, what did they expect to gain out of it and on and on. Hopefully the record continues in a similar fashion.
