John Paxon will be agonizing over the decision to take Michael Beasley or the home grown product Derrick Rose. Paxon would be wise if he chose the former. The Bulls have not had a low post scorer since Elton Brand (which was a mistake to trade). Beasley would immediately fill that need. The addition of Beasley would add balance to the Bulls starting line up and would enable us to be multi-dimensional. Second, with the addition of Beasley we can try and rectify the mistake we made by trading LaMarcus Aldridge for the underachieving Tyrus Thomas. Tyrus Thomas is perceived by other GM's to have a lot of potential. The longer we wait to trade him, the more his true colors will shine and his trade value will decline. Now don't get me wrong, I love Derrick Rose. However, he has a jump shot that still needs work. Kirk Hinrich is better than average and although Rose would be an upgrade, it is not a major need. Lastly, the Chicago media market would not give Rose much time to grow into becoming the player he will eventually become. Add Beasley and the Bulls will rebound from last year's disappointment.
